2006 GLHA Futurity Champion Weanling        2006 AHR Futurity Reserve Junior Champion Weanling

Apex of Genesis, the second offspring of our own Belle vande Haflinger Hoev and Arno van het Nieshof was shown as a weanling by Genesis Farm. ‘Jay’, as he was affectionately named around the barn, followed in the tradition of his parents, bringing home his share of blue ribbons. In the fall of 2006, Jay won 1st place in the junior weanling draft colt halter class at the GLHA Futurity and went on to be named “Grand Champion Draft Weanling” at the show. In the AHR Futurity, Jay won 1st place in the junior weanling draft colt halter class and went on to become Reserve Champion junior draft weanling. In the AHR National Show, Jay won 1st place in the weanling pleasure colt halter class. He also won 1st place alongside Belle at the National show in the ‘Mare and Foal’ halter class and also in the ‘Stallion and Three Mares’ halter class. Jay was sold to the Markel Family after the 2006 show season and regretfully he was not shown in 2007 nor in 2008. We look forward to seeing his appearance in the show circuit and the winner’s circle in the future!
