"Fire" is an exceptional filly that epitomizes the type, elegance and refinement that we strive to breed for at Genesis Farm. “Fire” is sired by our two-time National Champion Stallion and four-time AHR Stallion of the Year, Arno van het Nieshof. Her dam is the elegant and refined Afghan III NTF mare, Febe Ze NTF. Febe has produced many exceptional fillies through the years and Fire is a testament to this.
Fire was shown very successfully by Genesis Farm in 2007 as a weanling, albeit she was one of the youngest foals at the shows because she was a late May foal (May 28th, 2007). Our Fire was 1st place junior weanling pleasure filly at the AHR National Futurity and then she was named Junior Champion foal at the AHR National Futurity as well. She was also 1st place junior weanling pleasure filly at the GLHA Futurity and then went on to become the GLHA Champion Pleasure foal. These were some noteworthy accomplishments for a foal that was only 4 months old at the time of fall shows! Of course, winning is in Fire’s genetics. Her full sister in 2006, Forget Me Not MLF, also claimed futurity titles of her own, including 1st place in the junior weanling pleasure filly class at the GLHA futurity as well!
Fire continued her winning ways in 2008. At the AHR National Futurity in September, she won 1st place in the Yearling Filly class and went on to be named Grand Champion Yearling.
Fire was classified high silver at her AHR Inspection and Classification in July 2009 with a score of 79 points! This point total was the highest given out at any inspection in 2009. Only one other horse in a 2009 AHR Inspection received 79 points and that was Fire’s half sister, another Arno daughter, ‘By Design of Genesis’.
In September 2009, Fire competed at the AHR National Show in Springfield, Ohio. Fire won 1st place in the 2-year-old filly class, going on to be named “Junior National Champion Filly”. She also was a staple in our Genesis Farm 1st place National show entry in the ‘Get of Sire’ class on Arno’s behalf and then also in the ‘Best Three Haflingers’ class for our farm.
In October 2009, Fire competed at the AHR Futurity in Ashland, Ohio. Fire won 1st place in the 2-year-old filly class. This 1st place finish meant that Fire has won her AHR Futurity class for three consecutive years!
Fire has the rare combination of elegance and refinement coupled with powerful movement and animation. We see a bright future for this filly as a prime example of the modern haflinger. Look for Fire to be under saddle in 2010!
